I've been involved in local food in the Chesapeake region for 15 years, first and foremost as a shopper, eater and home cook. I'm also the former publisher of Edible Chesapeake magazine, I served as deputy director for Future Harvest–Chesapeake Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture, and have been on the boards of several local urban farming and farmers market organizations. I'm excited to an inaugural member of the Steering Team for the Chesapeake Foodshed Network, a regional food system initiative working to catalyze connections and collaborations that build a sustainable, resilient, inclusive, and equitable regional food system in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. And, of course, I'm thrilled to see my first book, "The Chesapeake Table: Your Guide to Eating Local" in print in September 2018!
