I’ve been having a great time talking to people at book events and farmers markets the last few weeks since the book came out. Here are a few pictures. There will be more to come – be sure to check the Events page for a list of appearances where you can buy your copy of The Chesapeake Table and have it signed, or stop by and tell me what you think of the book. (Check out my Facebook live video at the Silver Spring FRESHFARM Market – that was way fun!) I have more events to add, so check back regularly. You can also buy the book at local booksellers like Busboys and Poets, Politics and Prose, Curious Iguana, and The Ivy Bookshop. And if you have the book already, please read it and post a review on Amazon to help others find it!

I've been involved in local food in the Chesapeake region for 15 years, first and foremost as a shopper, eater and home cook. I'm also the former publisher of Edible Chesapeake magazine, I served as deputy director for Future Harvest–Chesapeake Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture, and have been on the boards of several local urban farming and farmers market organizations. I'm excited to an inaugural member of the Steering Team for the Chesapeake Foodshed Network, a regional food system initiative working to catalyze connections and collaborations that build a sustainable, resilient, inclusive, and equitable regional food system in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. And, of course, I'm thrilled to see my first book, "The Chesapeake Table: Your Guide to Eating Local" in print in September 2018! View all posts by Renee Brooks Catacalos
